Casey Jones cachet: Final Version & Train Postmark
In the final version, the train car on the far right was replaced with an engine. Once the final design was complete, it was then printed onto envelopes and then stamped with the train postmark that I also designed, to be sold at the show.
Casey Jones cachet: Versions 3 & 4
The third version simply has a text change with the addition of "of his birth". The fourth version I altered the train yard by expanding it out and adding in a second building on the right and extending the city silhouette.
Casey Jones cachet: Versions 1 & 2
I designed a cachet for my father's Casey Jones railroad stamp club and it went through several variations. The first version was the original drawing. Though due to some miscommunication and poor planning on my part, I didn't leave enough room at the top for the stamp cancel and postage stamp without covering part of the drawing.
The second version, I altered the image in photoshop where there would now be room for the cancel and stamp.
